-Video from previous broadcast. On Tuesday the Santa Cruz County Board of Supervisors voted to require all county employees receive the COVID-19 vaccine. According to the county, 85% of the 2,400 employees are already vaccinated. Those who do not comply will be forced to undergo weekly testing for COVID-19. This decision comes after the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine was granted full Food and Drug Administration approval on Monday. Santa Cruz County is 13th among California’s 58 health jurisdictions for vaccination rates, with 68.7% of eligible residents fully vaccinated and 77.7% with at least one dose.
