Stock Futures Slip Ahead of Fed Comments

Sept. 28, 2021 3:35 am ET U.S. stock futures ticked lower ahead of testimony on Capitol Hill from the leaders of the Federal Reserve and the Treasury Department on the state of the economic recovery. Futures on the S&P 500 slipped 0.4% and futures on the Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 0.1%. Changes in equity futures do not necessarily predict market moves after the markets open. In Europe, the Stoxx Europe 600 declined 0.3% in morning trade. Information technology and communication services sectors notched the biggest losses while consumer staples and health care sectors rose.
